I think there is a couple of not easily seen adjustments which Lenovo included in the base installment. I am not using Nahimic audio with headphones, but it does improve the inbuilt speakers quite a lot. You can install it from a 3rd party site and it does show up in Lenovo Vantage, but the equalizer settings will not have any effect. Nahimic Audio Equalizer did not work as well - if that is part of the original installment. So choosing the right Power Plan does affect performance. If you for example stayed in "Legion Quiet Mode" but switched to the balanced mode with FN+Q (white LED) the CPU was still limited to 1.06ghz. Interestingly, the (Legion) Power Plan overruled FN+Q setting. This means in addition of pressing FN+Q, you have to switch manually to the fitting power plan. I got the power profiles send from another L5 Pro user, but the script linking FN+Q and the Legion power plan is (obviously) missing. Without the custom power plan, this means for example, that the "silent mode" (blue LED) will not limit the CPU to 1.06ghz (5800h), which means that the fans are running more often. If you clean install, there will only be the standard windows "balanced" power plan. That means, FN+Q will not change to the fitting (Lenovo) power plan in windows e.g. Most noticeably, the custom Lenovo Power Plans are going to be missing. If it is like the 5 pro you are going to miss out a couple of features.
